The technological change in the automotive industry with a trend towards electronic drive systems has created a need for action. By the year 2020, one million electric vehicles are expected to be about in Germany. The necessary infrastructure for charging the vehicles and billing will have to be implemented. Besides supplying vehicles with electric power, these facilities are also planned to be used as energy stores in public power supply management (balancing energy, secondary reserves …). This calls for high-performance metering systems for the metering and billing of energy as well as network services. Using the know-how available in the fields of EDP systems and consulting for typical issues of the energy sector, new systems for the e-mobility sector are being developed and marketed.
